5 Port PoE 10/100Base-TX Switch

Unicom Micro-Switch PoE/5 is a palm-sized unmanaged 5 port 10/100 PoE Switch designed for small work groups. This switch provides 5 N-Way 10/100Mbps RJ-45 ports with an Auto MDI-MDIX Crossover function and will automatically detect the speed of the device that you plug into it allowing you to use both 10Mbps and 100Mbps. The Micro-Switch PoE/5 eliminates the need to run DC power to other devices on a wired LAN. Using a Power-over-Ethernet system, installers need to run only a single Category 5 Ethernet cable that carries both power and data to each device. This allows greater flexibility in the locating of network devices and, in many cases, significantly decreases installation costs. In addition, the Micro-Switch/5 executes the method of store-and-forward by auto learning and stores source addresses on a 1K-entry MAC address table.
